Slowdown in the Annihilation of Two Species Diffusion-Limited Reaction on Fractal Scale-Free Networks

چکیده
In the diffusion-limited reaction process A+B → ∅ on random scale-free networks, particle density decays as ρ(t) ∼ t−α when ρA(0) = ρB(0), where α > 1 for the degree exponent 2 < γ < 3 and α = 1 for γ ≤ 3. We investigate the reaction on fractal scale-free networks numerically, finding ρ(t) decays slowly with the exponent α ≈ ds/4 < 1, where ds is the spectral dimension of the network.

Annihilation of two-species reaction–diffusion processes on fractal scale-free networks
In the reaction–diffusion process A+B→∅ on random scale-free (SF) networks with the degree exponent γ , the particle density decays with time in a power law with an exponent α when initial densities of each species are the same. The exponent α is known as α > 1 for 2< γ < 3 and α = 1 for γ > 3. Here, we examine the reaction process on fractal SF networks, finding that α < 1 even for 2< γ < 3. T...
متن کاملCharacteristics of reaction-diffusion on scale-free networks.
We examine some characteristic properties of reaction-diffusion processes of the A+A-->0 type on scale-free networks. Due to the inhomogeneity of the structure of the substrate, as compared to usual lattices, we focus on the characteristics of the nodes where the annihilations occur. We show that at early times the majority of these events take place on low-connectivity nodes, while as time adv...
متن کاملReaction-Diffusion Processes on Interconnected Scale-Free Networks
We study the two-particle annihilation reaction A+B→∅ on interconnected scale-free networks, using different interconnecting strategies. We explore how the mixing of particles and the process evolution are influenced by the number of interconnecting links, by their functional properties, and by the interconnectivity strategies in use. We show that the reaction rates on this system are faster th...
متن کاملReaction-diffusion with a time-dependent reaction rate: the single-species diffusion-annihilation process
We study the single-species diffusion-annihilation process with a time-dependent reaction rate, λ(t) = λ0 t−ω . Scaling arguments show that there is a critical value of the decay exponent ωc(d) separating a reaction-limited regime for ω > ωc from a diffusion-limited regime for ω < ωc. The particle density displays a mean-field, ω-dependent, decay when the process is reaction-limited whereas it ...
متن کاملComparison Density and Fractal Dimension of Drainage Networks in Different Scales and Precision Different (Case Study: Ilam Watersheds)
Every phenomena in the nature, despite the complexity of the subject, has certain rules and regulations. River pattern and behavior as one of the most complex natural phenomena to this is not an exception. Depending on geomorphologic, climatic, topographic and erosive conditions, the waterways exhibit different patterns and behaviors. One of the parameters which can be achieved using the comple...
